MEET FRAN
Endurance Athlete. Advocate. Speaker. Changemaker.
Fran Hurndall is an endurance athlete, advocate, and ex footballer who knows what it means to go the distance, both physically and emotionally.
In 2025, she became the fastest person in history to run from Perth to Sydney 3,800km in just 60 days, raising over $61,000 for families impacted by domestic and family violence, but the run wasn’t just about breaking records. It was about breaking silence.
Fran’s journey began on the football pitch. Scouted by Arsenal Youth Academy at 13 and representing England by 15, she was later recognised as a finalist in the Best FIFA Football Awards for her impact beyond the game, but it was life after football and the adversity she faced off the field, that shaped her most.
After personal experiences with domestic violence within her family, Fran turned to running as a way to process, heal, and take action. What started as a coping mechanism became a platform for powerful change.
In 2023, she dribbled a soccer ball 1,000km from the Gold Coast to Sydney, raising funds for gender equality in sport and setting a Guinness World Record. Two years later, she crossed a continent on foot, turning one woman’s story into a national movement.
Today, Fran brings vulnerability and strength to every stage she steps on. Her talks are a reminder that courage doesn’t always roar, sometimes it runs, stumbles, and still gets back up. Again and again.
Because for Fran, the finish line was never the goal.
It was the beginning.
We keep going.
