I dribbled a football nearly 1,000 kilometers from the Gold Coast to Sydney over 34 days, and along the way, I set a Guinness World Record with my Chick with a Ball campaign. But this wasn’t just about proving my athleticism – it was about raising funds for Women Sport Australia and elevating the role of women in sport, especially during the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
My journey started on the football field, but where I’m headed now stretches far beyond the game.
I was scouted by Arsenal Ladies at 13 and represented England by 15. Football gave me an early taste of success, but it also laid the foundation for a much bigger purpose in life.
2023
In 2023, I decided to take on an extraordinary challenge that pushed me in ways I’d never been before.
2024
The Best FIFA Award 2024
That run got attention, and soon after, I was recognized by FIFA and nominated for The Best FIFA Award 2024, which honors the best football athletes in the world. But for me, that was just the start of something much bigger.
2025
In 2025, I’m taking on my most ambitious challenge yet: the Reach Out Speak Up Run, a 3,800-kilometer run dedicated to breaking the silence surrounding family and domestic violence.
This cause is deeply personal for me, as I’m running in honor of my sister, who experienced domestic violence. With every kilometer I run, I’m standing up for those silenced by fear and abuse.
My goal for the Reach Out Speak Up Run goes beyond covering the distance. I want to raise $1 million to support survivors of family and domestic violence, sparking important conversations and inspiring action. I’m pushing myself to the limit in hopes of motivating others to stand up too, creating a ripple effect of awareness and support.
As a former footballer turned long-distance runner, I know real strength comes from pushing beyond your comfort zone. I want to be a role model, especially for young women, showing them that they can rise to any challenge and make a real difference.
This journey isn’t just about athletic achievement – it’s about resilience, advocacy, and purpose. The Reach Out Speak Up Run isn’t just a test of endurance; it’s a movement for hope, awareness, and lasting change.
